Southern Idaho Solid Waste

A regional cooperative for integrated waste management

Our Locations

The center of operations for Southern Idaho Solid Waste is the Milner Butte Landfill.  Located approximately 19 miles west of Burley, Idaho, the landfill accepts between 600 and 700 tons of solid waste per day.

Because our service area stretches across seven counties, it is neither cost-effective nor convenient for localities to deliver their trash directly to the landfill.  To meet the need for local disposal options, SISW has developed a system of 15 transfer stations scattered throughout the district.
